Kuakata Sea Beach


Kuakata: Kuakata is one of the rarest  places of the world you have seen the full view of rising and setting of crimson sun in the water. It is a beautiful sea beach of Bangladesh.  Kuakata is locally known as Sagar Kannya (Daughter of the sea). It has a great natural beauty. Sandy beach, blue sky, sun setting and rising are more attracted. Every year many people visit Kuakata to spend there leisure time. Most of the people come here to see sun rising and setting.It has a wide sandy beach about 30 km long. Parjatan Holiday Homes at Kuakata offers a number of facilities for the tourists.


Location: Kuakata is situated at Latachapli union under Kalapara police station of Patuakhali district. It is about 70 km far from Patuakhali and 320 km from Dhaka. Kuakata is placed in Barisal division.

A series of coconut trees, sandy beach of blue bay, evergreen forest, boats plying colorful sails, fishing, surfing waves touch every visitor’s heart. There is a Buddhist Temple of about hundred years old. It is indicate the ancient tradition and cultural heritage of great pleasure Kuakata. During the festival of “ Rush Purnima” and “Maghi Purnima” , people on these two days take holy bath. Every year in Kuakata traditional fairs are held. How to go to Kuakata:
From Dhaka: From Gabtoli of Saidabad bus stand, you will find Dhaka to Kuakata bus services. Beside that,  BRTC bus service has introduced from Dhaka to Kuakata. Sakura is one direct bus route from Dhaka to Kuakata. It leaves every night at 10:30 from the terminal, called Technical Mor , near Gabtoly.

From Khulna: You have to go to Sonadanga Bus stand then you will find Khulna to Kuakata bus services. From Rupsha, BRTC has introduced Khulna to Kuakata bus services.

Cost: Sakura: 390 Taka (US $6.00).

Sundarbon is more natural place of Bangladesh. Sundarban saves our life from many disaster flood, cyclone etc. A large amount of people depend on sundarbon. Sundarbon is their only earning source.So we should vote for Sundarbon.

The Shat Gambuj Mosque

Shat Gambuj Mosque is a historical place in Bangladesh. It is situated in Bagerhat.  In mid-15th centuary, a Musiim colony was founded in the inhospitatable mangrove forest of the Sundarbans near the seacoast. Saint Ulugh Khan Jahan is the founder of Shat Gambuj Mosque.Then, the name of Bagerhat was "Khalifatabad".Khan Jahan adorned his city with numerous mosque, tanks, roads and public buildings.
 


Shat Gambuj Mosque is a multidomed mosque in Bangladesh. The mosque is roofed over with 77 squat domes, including 7 chauchala or fore-sided domes in the middle row.The mosque was used as a prayer hall and also the court of  Khan Jahan.Now it it is one of the greatest tourist attractions and best architectural beauties of  Bangladesh.


How To Go To Shat Gambuj Mosque

First Way: From Dhaka
At first you have to go Gabtoli Bus stand or Saydabad Bus Stand. Then you have to go to Khulna (Sonadanga Bus Stand) by bus. There are many bus counter:
Shohag (VOLVO)
Hanif Exclusive
Green Line
A.K. Travels
you can choose one of them. Then you have to go to Bagerhat by bus.From Bagerhat Bus Stand, you have to take a Riksha to go to  The Shat Gambuj Mosque.This Journey will take 7-8 hours.

Second  Way: From Dhaka 
From Gabtoli Bus stand or Saydabad Bus Stand, you have to go to a bus counter to buy a ticket to Bagerhat.
Cost: 500-1000 Tk.

Sundarbon is the largest mangrove forest in the world. It is located in the southern part of Bangladesh. The Bangla word 'ban' means forest and the word 'Sundor' comes form Sundori-tree. The Sundarbons was declared reserve forest in 1875. The forest lies under three districts, Bagerhat, Khulna, Satkhira. There are many kinds of trees in this forest like  Sundori (Heritiera fomes), Golpata (Nipa fruticans), gewa (E. agallocha), Goran ( Ceriops decandra), Keora ( Sonneratia), Ora (S. caseolris), Passur (Xylocarpus mekongensis) etc. Sundarbon is the home to many different species of animals like tiger, deer, monkey, crocodiles etc.

First Way: From Dhaka
At first you have to go Gabtoli Bus stand or Saydabad Bus Stand. Then you have to go to Khulna (Sonadanga Bus Stand) by bus. There are many bus counter:

you can choose one of them.When you will reach Khulna, then you have to go to Mongla by bus.From Mongla Launch Ghat, you have to hire a Boat or Launch to go to  Sundarbon .This Journey will take 8-9 hours.

From Gabtoli Bus stand or Saydabad Bus Stand, you have to go to a bus counter to buy a ticket to Mongla.
Cost: 1000-1500 Tk.
